About Dr. Kabnick


Dr. Kabnick joined the NYU faculty in 2007 as the Director of the NYU Vein Center. He is a world-renowned surgeon-teacher whose patient-centered approach to vein care has enabled him to create and improve a number of today's most advanced non-invasive surgical techniques.

Dr. Kabnick is recognized by his peers as an international authority on the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease. He was the first vascular surgeon in the United States to perform the Closure™ (radiofrequency) procedure and the VenaCure™ (laser) procedure--two breakthrough technologies for treating the underlying causes of many varicose vein problems.

Highly sought after as a consultant and teacher by medical societies the world over, he has consistently recognized as one of the area's "Top Doctors" and is listed in the Guide to "Americas Top Surgeons".

Dr. Kabnick devotes his practice entirely to venous diagnosis and treatments and has written and published numerous chapters and papers.

Education

A graduate with Special Honors from The George Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. Kabnick received his postdoctoral graduate school training at New York University and Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He completed his Vascular Fellowship at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York.

Professional Memberships

Dr. Kabnick is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Venous Forum, and the Society of Vascular Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as the American College of Phlebology. He presently serves on the Board of Directors for the American College of Phlebology.
